Policy Brief on Access to Insurance for Persons with Disabilities (English)

Prayatna Nepal developed this policy brief to highlight the barriers that persons with disabilities face in accessing insurance services in Nepal and to support policy reforms that promote equal and non-discriminatory access. Based on research with persons with disabilities, disability rights advocates, insurance companies, and a review of existing laws and policies, the brief presents evidence and practical recommendations for the Government of Nepal, the Nepal Insurance Authority, and insurance companies to make insurance more inclusive and accessible
