From March 26–30, 2025, Prayatna Nepal proudly hosted a transformative Fight Back training at DAV College of Management, Lalitpur, in collaboration with Fight Back Pvt. Ltd. This five-day program brought together 12 visually impaired women and girls, equipping them with essential self-defense skills to stand strong against harassment and violence.

Led by experienced trainers, participants explored both theory and hands-on practice from understanding different forms of violence, managing fear, and recognizing good vs. bad touch, to mastering practical self-defense moves such as the SOS block, palm strike, ear strike, eye poke, and even using a white cane for protection. Sessions also focused on cyber safety and strategies to stay secure in the digital world.

The training was more than just learning techniques it built confidence, voice, and solidarity among the participants. The closing day featured a certificate distribution ceremony, graced by Ms. Shova Kharel, Chief of Women Development Section, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, who applauded the collaboration and encouraged continued empowerment initiatives. Together, we are creating a safer, stronger, and more inclusive society for women with disabilities.
