Digital security training to blind and deaf women in Tulsipur Dang district.

Prayatna Nepal successfully conducted a five-day Digital Security Training from 1–5 July 2026 at Hotel Ekanta, Tulsipur, Dang, under the “Digital Desires, Digital Dangers: Intersecting Pleasure, Power, and Protection in Online Spaces” project supported by Amplify Change. The training brought together 22 women and girls with disabilities (12 visually impaired and 10 hearing impaired), aged 15–45, to strengthen their digital literacy, online safety, and confidence in navigating digital spaces.

The interactive sessions covered digital rights, online privacy, cyber safety, account security, two-factor authentication (2FA), phishing awareness, password protection, internet basics, digital risk assessment, safe online relationships, consent, and reporting mechanisms for online violence. Hands-on demonstrations, accessible learning materials, and sign language interpretation ensured an inclusive learning environment for all participants.

By the end of the training, participants gained practical skills to protect their personal information, recognize digital threats, and exercise their digital rights with greater confidence. The program marked an important step toward promoting safe, inclusive, and accessible digital spaces for women and girls with disabilities in Nepal.
