Prayatna Nepal successfully organized a five-day Sexuality Training from April 26–30, 2026 at Hotel Pension Vasana, Dillibazar, Kathmandu, under the project Ensure the Access on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights of Women with Disabilities.” The training engaged 20 visually impaired women and girls with the objective of enhancing knowledge and practical skills related to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).

The training covered a wide range of topics including sex, gender, sexuality, menstrual health management, contraceptive methods, safe pregnancy, newborn care, disability and sexuality, online safety, consent, laws related to sexuality, and LGBTIQ issues. Interactive discussions, accessible learning materials, tactile demonstrations, and practical exercises ensured meaningful participation and understanding among participants.

Special practical sessions on menstrual products, contraceptive devices, and baby care using dummy babies were highly appreciated by participants. Facilitators also emphasized digital safety, privacy protection, and advocacy for the rights of women and girls with disabilities.

Participants described the training as interactive, inclusive, and empowering, highlighting the value of hands-on learning and open discussions. The program concluded with reflection and feedback sessions, where participants expressed increased confidence and awareness regarding their sexual and reproductive health rights.
