DISABILITY AND SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS (SRHR)

The report “Barriers in Accessing Sexual and Reproductive Health Services among Adolescent Girls and Young Women with Visual Impairment” explores the challenges faced by visually impaired adolescent girls and young women in accessing essential SRHR services in Nepal. Through in-depth interviews and participatory research methods, the study sheds light on systemic barriers such as lack of accessible information, discrimination within healthcare settings, and inadequate policy implementation. It also highlights the voices and lived experiences of the participants, calling for inclusive, rights-based approaches to SRHR that prioritize the needs of persons with disabilities.
